Giving Month – Warrior Foundation
We are proud to support the Warrior Foundation- Freedom Station as our Giving Month charity for December. Our Project Engineer, Rebecca Bocox, is our charity champion this month!
The Warrior Foundation aims to be the leading force in assisting, honoring and supporting the military men and women who have so bravely served and sacrificed for our country. They are a 501(c)3 organization operated by an all-volunteer staff and assist four main groups of warriors: the Seriously Injured (SI) just returning home from war, those suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or Traumatic brain injury (TBI), those undergoing physical or occupational therapy, and Warriors who have been medically retired and remain in our community
To serve this last group in particular, Warrior Foundation pioneered a new approach and opened Freedom Station, a unique recovery transition center and housing facility that provides injured warriors with the acclimation time, guidance and resources to successfully make the transition from military service to civilian life. To help them we will be collecting items from their wish list.
Wish List Items include: Healthy Snacks, Mac/Cheese/Oatmeal in Cups, Bottled Water/Gatorade, Queen Size Sheets, King Size Pillow Cases, King Size Pillows, Ladies Sports Bras, Socks (Black or Sand-Ladies/Mens), Gas/Visa Cards, Bath Towels, Deodorant/Lotion, Shampoo/Conditioner, Razors/Gold Bond Powder, Lip Balm, Kitchen Towels.
Items can be dropped off at PRAVA offices through December.
